Here’s how TechKit makes money, in plain words.
Some links are affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy or sign up, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. The price is the same either way.
We mark affiliate links as sponsored, so you can tell which ones they are.
Commissions don’t change our verdicts
A commission never decides what we say about a tool. If a product has problems, we say so. We list the downsides, not just the good parts.
We also mention tools we don’t earn anything from. If a free option or a non-partner tool fits you better, we’ll tell you.
How we test
We aim to only recommend tools after setting them up and walking through them ourselves.
That isn’t always possible. When an article is based only on official docs and pricing pages, we say so in the article’s transparency box at the top. That way you know exactly where the information came from.
Prices and limits change often, so we check numbers against official pricing pages and add a “last checked” date.
Why we tell you this
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) asks sites like ours to clearly disclose when we might earn money from a link. We agree with that. This page, and the short note at the top of our articles, is how we do it.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you spot a link we forgot to mark, please get in touch. We’ll fix it.
